Places For Interaction/ Some ideas:
-Workshops -Projects -Games -Story-time -Songs
-Workshop presenters do workshop or submit a coloring page, on the issues they are working on broken down appropriately for children
-Community members share a skill
-Children teach a workshop for all-ages (8 year old Malila gave a button making workshop to all ages, inviting older conference goers into the kids space)
-Different points of entry that all-ages and abilities can participate and contribute to the larger event
-Parade. Create a book monster to threaten the books and zines at the Bookfair - if you like. March for fun. March for any reason that you like.
-Children participate in the closing ceremony
-Art or interactive art hanging in the hallways
-Conference participants are encouraged and given ideas on how they can support caregivers; all-ages
-Parenting, children, and childcare are visible
-Treat each other with respect

Rebranding the Urban: How Politicians Get Power Using the Media (and What People can Learn from This)
This workshop is about how politicians use TV news, blogs and newspapers to get power. It is also about ideas about people’s race and culture that are used to take power from people of color, women and the poor. What do you see on TV that you think is true about your community? Do you see things on TV that try to make people seem powerless? What can se do to make sure the TV tells the truth about how people really are?
